Since 2008, Butterfly Blooms Garden Centre has been a cherished part of Sydney’s Inner West — a hidden yet iconic green destination known for quality plants, personal service, and its understated charm. In 2025, the garden centre entered an exciting new era under the ownership of Phillipa and Matthew, combining Phillipa’s retail and customer-experience expertise with Matthew’s creative background as a printmaker and studio artist. Together, they have shaped Butterfly Blooms into a boutique garden destination that blends premium plant curation, exceptional service, and artistic expression. Each week, the team visits local growers to hand-select every plant that arrives on the floor, ensuring the highest quality and most beautiful varieties. The centre is also home to Ablitt Editions, Matthew’s printmaking studio and gallery space, introducing a unique cultural element that sits harmoniously alongside the plants, pots, and seasonal displays. Today, Butterfly Blooms offers personalised plant sourcing, bonsai care, repotting services, delivery, community workshops, and a curated range of gifts.
